Toronto Life - 2002: **1/2
An engaging little room that doesn't take itself too seriously. Candlelight softens tired faces; there's even a cozy little table for two at the back in what used to be a freight elevator. The antipasto platter for two offers a little of each a la carte appetizer: warm chevre, an arugula-radicchio salad, duck carpaccio and grilled polenta. It's all right to order an appetizer as a secondo if one is not up to a generous venison osso bucco or a grilled veal chop. Homemade ice creams. About half the wines are Italian; none from France. Closed Sunday. |
